The international nurses day is celebrated on the 12th of may every year. On this occasion MKSSS Sitabai Nadgunkar College of nursing organized a online celebration. The theme was “NURSE-A VOICE TO LEAD In A VISION FOR FUTURE HEALTHCARE” which was disclosed by Ms.Priya Bhorge.

The theme of the year 2021 was “Breastfeeding – A shared responsibility”. It is not only important for the child and the mother but it is important for the society as well. Based on this theme, students came forward and performed a skit and Various activities which included poster making, rangoli competition, singing competition and video making competition.

5th June is celebrated as BAYA KARVE JAYANTI in honor of Anandibai Karve,wife of Maharshi Karve. Anandibai is the woman who despite, being neglected by the society as a child widow and later as a remarried woman, lived her own life without any compulsion.
