SPORTS

The institute gives most importance to sports activities and hence developed many facilities to train its students in various sports. The institute has special playgrounds for Kabaddi, Badminton, Cricket and Valley ball. The institute also provides facility for indoor games like Table tennis, Chess and carom board. Our students regularly participate in intercollegiate sports activities organized by University and sport event organized by Mksss’s Sitabai Naagundkar College Of Nursing For Women,Nagpur.

VISION STATEMENT OF SPORTS COMMITTEE

The vision of the sports committee is to organize sports competitions, take practices, so that they can learn to keep themselves physically fit.

MISSION STATEMENT OF SPORTS COMMITTEE

The Committee aims at enhancing the interest of the participants in the field of sports. To achieve the above we plan to organize various competitions in the following sports: Kabaddi, Kho-kho, Running, Relay, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Table tennis, Chess, Badminton.

AIM OF SPORTS COMMITTEE:-

• An ability to achieve a given performance repeatedly is referred to as efficiency. The aim of sport training is to achieve maximum individual or team efficiency in a selected sports discipline limited by rules.

OBJECTIVES OF SPORTS COMMITTEE:-

• To promote the interest of sport.
• To promote physical, mental, social, emotional, health and wellness.
• Encourage students to promote the active participation in physical activities according to the interest and abilities.
• To develop skill and fitness of the students.
• To participate at various district , state , national level

FUNCTIONS OF SPORTS COMMITTEE:-

• To create zeal amongst students and faculty members towards sports.
• To organize training, coaching and education in sports for everybody so that they can learn to keep themselves physically fit.
• To enhance the interest of participants in the field of sports.
• To promote every individual’s health, physically well-being as well as the acquisition physical skills among the students.
• The committee aspires to inculcate qualities such as Sportsmanship, Team spirit and Bonding.
• It is designed to serve the interest of the students’ community in competitive sports and other recreational activities i.e. both Indoor and outdoor.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES OBJECTIVES OF SPORTS COMMITTEE:-

• The Sports Committee shall be responsible for all Inter Collegiate cultural events in the college.
• To Plan and Schedule sports events for the academic year.
• To obtain formal permission from the college authorities to arrange program.
• To decide the date, time of the program.
• To inform members of staff and students about the events.
• To arrange the venue (Audio/Video system, Dias etc.)
• To arrange mementos for guests and gifts/certificates for the participants.
• The committee shall display on the notice board about any function and competition.
• Organizing program on peace and harmony towards cultural, regional linguistic, communal socioeconomic and other diversities.
• Events arranged for students in co-ordination with BNCSU
• The Sports Committee shall also be responsible for organizing the following events-
• Ananya Sports Meet
• Umang
• Intercollegiate College sports week
• TNAI sports
• To prepare and maintain records of all cultural activities.

Teacher Heads

• The teacher head conducts various committee meetings and maintains close communication with all the members of the club.
• The teacher head is well knowledgeable about the code of conduct of the sports club and transmits this information to other members of the sports committee.
• The teacher heads keeps track of all the relevant records and documents of the committee and assigns the appropriate tasks to other committee.

Treasurer

• A treasurer handles all the financial matters associated with the sports committee.
• She maintains all the financial records and reports all the financial matters to the authorities.
• The manager attends the council meetings to discuss the ongoing issues within the sports club and designs appropriate strategy to resolve those issues.

Sports Committee Student Heads

• They oversee all the direct operations of their particular sport committee.
• They try to bring team spirit and sportsmanship among other students.
• They coordinate with all the students of college.
• They look after for selection process in sports competitions at collegiate level.
• They maintain the discipline during sport events.
